Overview
What Is ArcTrader?
📈
Futures Curve Analysis
ArcTrader reads the SHAPE of the futures curve — the relationship between the front-month contract (F1), F2 and F3 — to determine market direction and bias before the session even opens.
💹
Three ARC Signals
ARC1 (F1) = BUY signal level. ARC2 (F2) = continuation target. ARC3 (F3) = SELL signal level. The curve between them tells you whether the market is bullish (contango) or bearish (backwardation).
🇺🇸
USDX Benchmark
ArcTrader includes a dedicated USDX (Dollar Index) panel. Rising dollar = bearish for indices. Falling dollar = bullish. The correlation panel shows when they confirm or diverge — giving you a macro filter.
📊
Previous Close Method
Uses Barchart.com previous close prices for maximum accuracy. Rolling contracts (*1/*2/*3) automatically update after rollover — no manual work needed. Direct links to Barchart inside the app.
Core Concept
Reading The Futures Curve
CONTANGO — Bullish Structure
Cash
ARC1
ARC2
ARC3
F1 < F2 < F3 = CONTANGO. Normal structure. Markets expect higher prices. Cash BELOW ARC1 = bullish bias confirmed. Long setups at ARC1 support.
BACKWARDATION — Bearish Structure
Cash
ARC1
ARC2
ARC3
F1 > F2 > F3 = BACKWARDATION. Inverted structure. Markets expect lower prices. Cash ABOVE ARC1 = bearish bias confirmed. Short setups at ARC1 resistance.
The KEY insight: Where Cash sits relative to ARC1 determines directional bias. Below ARC1 = bullish. Above ARC1 = bearish. This is your daily pre-session filter.
Signal System
The Three ARC Signals
SignalDirectionLevel (Example NQ)TP TargetRole
ARC1BUY21,528→ ARC2 TargetThe primary support level. If Cash is below ARC1 at session open, this is your long entry zone.
ARC2BUY21,639→ ARC3 TargetThe extension target. If price breaks ARC1 and continues, ARC2 is the next level. Can also act as dynamic resistance.
ARC3SELL21,741→ ARC2 TargetThe key resistance / SELL level. Price approaching ARC3 from below = look for reversal. Fade the move here.
ARC1 — The Entry
Cash below ARC1 = upside bias. Watch for price to bounce off ARC1 for long entries. Stop below ARC1, target ARC2.
ARC2 — The Extension
If price clears ARC1, the natural target is ARC2. In strong contango moves, price drives straight from ARC1 to ARC2.
ARC3 — The Reversal
The top of the visible curve. Historically, ARC3 acts as a strong resistance zone. Fade the move with tight stops above.
Macro Filter
USDX Benchmark — Dollar Correlation
Why The Dollar Matters
The US Dollar Index (USDX / DX futures) has an inverse relationship with indices like Nasdaq and Dow. When the dollar rises, indices tend to fall. When the dollar falls, indices tend to rise.
📉 USDX BULLISH (Cash below DXF1) → Dollar rising → Index BEARISH pressure
📈 USDX BEARISH (Cash above DXF1) → Dollar falling → Index BULLISH opportunity
DIVERGENCE → Both bullish or both bearish → Unusual, watch for reversal

✓ CONFIRMED BULLISH
USDX falling → Nasdaq buying momentum confirmed
CONFIDENCE
85%
The Confidence percentage increases further when the futures curves also align — USDX in contango AND primary in backwardation = maximum bearish confidence, for example.

ARC Level Reference Table
For each ARC level, ArcTrader calculates the nearest Pattern Frequency and Trend Frequency from the Genesis Map system. You see how far each ARC level sits from a key mathematical level.

Workflow
Your Daily ArcTrader Workflow
1
Select your primary asset (e.g. Nasdaq) from the asset tabs. Click the Barchart link — opens directly to Previous Close prices.
2
Enter Cash + F1 + F2 + F3 (and optionally F4) from Barchart Previous Close column. These are your ARC levels for the session.
3
Enter USDX Cash + DXF1 + DXF2 + DXF3. Then click COMPUTE BOTH + CORRELATION. The correlation panel shows whether dollar and index signals confirm each other.
4
Read the signals table: ARC1 = BUY level, ARC2 = target, ARC3 = SELL level. Check the Curve Pattern (contango/backwardation) and the Bias Meter confidence %.
5
During the session: Watch for price to interact with ARC1, ARC2 or ARC3. When price hits an ARC level confirmed by USDX and within a Genesis Map frequency zone = maximum edge.
6
Save the session. All sessions are stored in history with full data — asset, direction, correlation, curve shape. Export as PDF for your trading journal.

Master These
ArcTrader Golden Rules
1
Cash vs ARC1 = Direction
Before ANY trade, check where Cash sits relative to ARC1. Below = bullish bias. Above = bearish bias. This is your pre-session filter. Never ignore it.
2
USDX Must Confirm
Only trade with full conviction when the USDX correlation panel shows CONFIRMED BULLISH or CONFIRMED BEARISH. Divergence = stand aside.
3
ARC + Frequency Zone
The highest probability setups occur when an ARC level (F1/F2/F3) coincides with a Genesis Map Pattern or Trend frequency. Check the ARC Reference table daily.
4
Confidence % Matters
The correlation confidence % tells you how strong the signal is. Below 50% = reduce size. Above 80% = full size. Above 90% = scale up if risk management allows.
5
Save Every Session
Session history is your edge database. Review it weekly. Which ARC levels does your market respect most? Where does the pattern repeat? Build your edge from data.
6
F4 = Leading Indicator
When F4 is available, use it. F4 extension confirms whether the trend has momentum (widening gap) or is running out of steam (narrowing). Trade accordingly.
